Privacy Policy

What this site collects, why, and who processes it. Last updated 14 October 2026.

Who we are

Pagecontent.io is a blog about SEO tools and a content writing and link building service, run by Richard (see the About page). For anything in this policy, email contact@pagecontent.io.

What we collect

You can read every page on this site without creating an account or telling us who you are. We collect three kinds of information:

  • Usage analytics. Pages you view, links and buttons you click (including affiliate links), roughly where you are (country or city, derived from your IP address), your device and browser type, and the page that referred you. This is collected with cookies or similar browser storage.
  • Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the service you are asking about, and your message.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data, such as IP address and browser, to serve the site and keep it secure.

We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not ask for payment details on this site.

Why we use it

  • To understand which articles are read and useful, so we can improve them.
  • To see which tools readers click through to, so we know which reviews matter.
  • To reply to your enquiries and, if you hire us, to do the work you asked for.
  • To keep the site running, secure and free of errors.

Services that process data for us

  • PostHog (product analytics, US-hosted): page views, clicks, errors, and anonymised interaction data. Text you type into form fields is masked and not recorded. PostHog privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics (traffic statistics): Google privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites with Google's browser add-on.
  • Formspree (delivers contact-form messages to our inbox): Formspree privacy policy.
  • Vercel (website hosting): Vercel privacy policy.
  • Pexels (some article images load from their servers, which receive your IP address when they do).

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country.

Affiliate links

Some links to tools are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave this site, and the tool's website or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to record that you came from us. That is how we may earn a commission if you buy. Their handling of your data is covered by their own privacy policies, not this one. We only receive aggregated commission reports, not your personal details.

Pinterest

We publish pins about our articles to our own Pinterest boards, using an automation that acts only on our own account. It does not access any other Pinterest user's account or data, and we do not collect information about people who view or save our pins beyond the aggregated statistics Pinterest provides to account owners.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for as long as the analytics providers' retention settings allow, and is used only in aggregate. Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any work that follows, and are deleted on request.

Your choices and rights

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker; the site still works without them.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Email contact@pagecontent.io and we will respond within 30 days.
  • If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is written for marketers and businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a service that handles your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
